OUR HISTORY
Family Harvest Church was founded in Seminole in 1998 by Pastor Bracken and Donna Christian, who pastor our parent church in Lubbock, Texas. Our original name was Church On The Go. Pastor Bracken initiated the opening of two other churches in West Texas: one in Plainview and another in Post. In the fall of 2001, all four churches agreed to jointly change our name to better represent our mission.

The original church building was purchased from a prior ministry in Seminole that had closed its doors six months earlier. Upon hearing of that ministry’s closing, Pastor Bracken said to himself, “This is a time for churches to be opening not closing!” Thus, the property was purchased and upon opening its doors, Family Harvest Church had 40 people at its first service.

FHC has been blessed by God as we have seen much growth from that original group on the first day. And through the years, our voice in the community has grown, as FHC strives to be a place that offers a home atmosphere, a place of love, peace and acceptance, and most of all a place filled with people who live what they believe.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
IN A NUTSHELL… We believe God is bigger, better, and closer than we can imagine. The Bible is God’s perfect guidebook for living. Jesus is God showing Himself to us. Through His Holy Spirit, God lives in and through us. Nothing in creation “just happened.” God made it all on purpose. Grace is the only way to have a relationship with God. Faith is the only way to grow in our relationship with God. Evil exists because of sin; God can bring good even out of evil events, and God promises victory over evil to those who choose Him. Heaven and Hell are real places. Death is a beginning, not the end! The church is to serve people like Jesus served people.
JESUS is coming back again!
